| Fuligni | Brunello di Montalcino DOCG | 2012 | Wine Advocate | 28/02/2017 | 92 | ||||||
Verbiage“The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is a dark and savory wine with a generous bouquet of meaty aromas that peel back in thick layers. At its core is a healthy dose of black fruit, but background aromas of cured meat, grilled spice and smoked bacon give the wine a unique personality. This wine shows enthusiastic readiness were it to be paired with a succulent, fire-roasted steak. The mouthfeel revealed by this Brunello from Fuligni is surprisingly dense, thick and velvety. The wine shows attractive richness on both the nose and the palate. It is ready to drink in the near or medium-term.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Feb. 2017 |

| Conti Costanti | Brunello di Montalcino DOCG | 2012 | Wine Advocate | 28/02/2017 | 91 | ||||||
Verbiage“The Conti Costanti 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is a sure bet even if you are a Sangiovese novice. This is a richly extracted and beautifully layered red wine that imparts generous fruit tones supported by ample spice and tobacco. The effect is supple and round, especially with regards to the bouquet. I am perhaps a little more hesitant when it comes to the mouthfeel. I tend to notice the overripe fruit here and there is a sour cherry flavor that reinforces this impression. The wine is soft and supple in texture, so basically it offers a mixed bag of mostly positive vinous sensations that make it attractive for near-term consumption.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Feb. 2017 |

| Cascina Bongiovanni | Barolo “Pernanno” DOCG | 2013 | Vinous | 01/02/2017 | 92 | ||||||
Verbiage“The 2013 Barolo Pernanno brings together the color, richness and intensity of the best parcels within Pernanno. A dark, powerful wine, the Pernanno exudes power and texture. Black cherry, smoke, chocolate, licorice, tar and savory herbs infuse the powerful, textured finish. The 2013 needs time to fully integrate its 50% new French oak, but even so, all the elements are nicely balanced throughout.” -Antonio Galloni Feb. 2017 |
