“Dark bright orange-yellow. Deep aromas and flavors of orange jam, caramel, chestnut honey, and sweet spices. Multilayered and thick, with bright orange blossom, lavender, thyme, and saline nuances lingering nicely in the clean, varietally accurate finish. Much denser and sweeter (roughly 120 g/L r.s.) than Hauner’s 2014 Malvasia delle Lipari Vendemmia Tardiva, this still showcases the characteristic lightbodied, refined mouthfeel of all sweet wines made with the Malvasia di Lipari grape variety which gives delicate sweet wines quite unlike those of Sauternes, for example.
