| Poderi Einaudi | Barolo Cannubi DOCG | 2012 | Wine Advocate | 30/06/2016 | 91 | ||||||
Verbiage“The Poderi Luigi Einaudi 2012 Barolo Cannubi takes a brief departure from the delicate floral and ethereal aromas usually associated with this important vineyard site. Instead, the wine offers a greater degree of darkness, richness and intensity. What it gains in power, it ultimately relinquishes in complexity. There is more dark fruit on display and a riper style to behold. It’s been a very sad year for Poderi Luigi Einaudi. The estate winemaker and technical director Lorenzo Raimondi died suddenly at the end of April. He was 60-years-old and had spent much of his career defining the house style that prizes elegance and tradition. Raimondi was also Deputy Mayor of his hometown Dogliani. I wanted to take this opportunity to extend my condolences to the greater Einaudi winery family.” -Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Jun 30, 2016 |

Verbiage“The 2012 Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi is a beautiful expression with lingering tones of spice, leather and dried fruit that offer an authentic portrait of Nebbiolo. This is a classic wine from the appellation that prizes elegance, finesse and texture. Dried fruit, cola, grilled herb and rose hip emerge from the bouquet. In the mouth, this wine is silky and long.
