Conti Costanti | Brunello di Montalcino DOCG | 2009 | Vinous | 02/10/2024 | 92
Verbiage“The 2009 Brunello di Montalcino is dark and brooding, with a faint hint of soy up front that gives me pause, giving way to crushed rocks and a spice, plum dusting. It’s soft and open-knit in feel, fresher than its bouquet hints at, with ripe wild berry fruits inflected with saline minerals. Inner earth tones and tobacco amass toward the close. A bump of nervous acidity adds to the lively and gently tannic finale as balsamic tones and hints of licorice remain. I would err on the side of caution and drink my 2009s sooner than later, but with that said, there’s plenty of pleasure to be found here.” -Eric Guido, Vinous, Oct. 2024 |

Conti Costanti | Brunello di Montalcino DOCG | 2004 | Vinous | 02/10/2024 | 90
Verbiage“The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is mature yet still quite pleasurable. Leather and earth tones give way to dried herbs and spiced citrus. This is cool-toned in feel, with textures of pure silk and a vibrant core of fruit. Mineral inflections complicate the wine toward the close. The 2004 is so giving today, yet I don’t see it improving much more in bottle, as it finishes with hints of soy and dried orange. I tasted from two bottles with similar results. Andrea Costanti commented that he felt he picked the 2004 a week too early following a hail storm. The weather turned very cold and dry. In retrospect, it may have been a vintage where the Riserva should have been left in the mix to improve the quality of the Brunello. ” -Eric Guido, Vinous, Oct. 2024 90

Verbiage“Bright and fruit-forward, this Rosé opens with an explosion of ripe raspberries and blackberries plucked fresh from the bush with hints of the green leaves swirling about. The palate is stacked with tart red fruit flavors that cause the mouth to water like a fresh homemade cherry limeade with a salted rim and a mineral finish.” — Jeff Porter, WIne Enthusiast, Oct. 2024 |

Tenuta Corte Giacobbe | Soave Ronca Calvarina DOC | 2023 | Wine Enthusiast | 01/10/2024 | 94 best buy
Verbiage“Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe 2023 (Soave). This Soave greets you with wafting, pillow-like aromas that gently caress the senses as light herbal notes intertwine with citrus and fresh orchard fruit, drizzled with a delicate floral honey and almonds. On the palate, a solid mineral kick emerges, offering flinty and smoky under tones. The mouthwatering acidity and texture, akin to biting into a crisp green-apple skin, create a bright and tart sensation. Drink now–2035.”. — J.P., Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 2024 |

Cantina Santadi | Terre Brune Carignano del Sulcis Superiore DOC | 2019 | Wine Enthusiast | 01/10/2024 | 92
Verbiage“A savory nose features aromas of old leather, top soil, coffee and herbs, for an overall spicy, earthy feel. The palate is tangy and fresh, with black-cherry notes and a potent floral component, before a bitter-chocolate undertone sets up a finish of resurgent earth and spices. Tannins and acid are lithe, but anchored in that earthy depth.” -Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 2024 92

Cantina Santadi | Grotta Rossa Carignano del Sulcis DOC | 2022 | Wine Enthusiast | 01/10/2024 | 90
Verbiage“The nose starts crisp and savory, with aromas of graphite, earth, pepper and violets. Sweeter notes of blackberry, plum and chocolate gradually emerge, and continue to swell on the palate, but zippy acid injects a balancing, almost metallic tang.” -Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 2024 |

Fuligni | Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG | 2019 | James Suckling | 30/09/2024 | 97
Verbiage“Dried-berry, orange-peel and flower aromas follow through to a medium body with ultrafine tannins that blend nicely into the wine, delivering energy and length. Lovely ripe fruit with a juicy and flavorful finish. A classic and wonderfully proportioned young Brunello. Drinkable but better after 2026 and beyond.” -James Suckling, Sept. 2024 |

Castello di Querceto | Cignale Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT | 2019 | Wine Enthusiast | 30/09/2024 | 93
Verbiage“The nose is rich with dense, juicy aromas of blackberries, figs and pomegranate syrup, but fresh, lively undertones of mint, sage, salt and pepper provide balance. On the palate, a whipping, oceanic salinity lifts that minty herbaceousness over more pomegranates and blackberries, creating a mouthfeel that’s smooth and streamlined, but with gravitas.” — Danielle Callegari, WIne Enthusiast, Sept. 2024 93

Dal Cero in Valpolicella | Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG | 2017 | Wine Spectator | 30/09/2024 | 91
Verbiage“A rich, well-oaked red, with melted licorice, spice box, dried marjoram and mocha accents to the glossy fruit flavors of blackberry and boysenberry. The tannins are chalky in texture before turning firm and chewy on the finish. This shows good balance in a more powerful, sculpted style. Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Best after 2027. 1,000 cases made, 400 cases imported.” -Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, Sept. 2024 |
