Massimago ”Duca Fedele” Valpolicella DOC BIO 2023 Wine Enthusiast 01/07/2025 94
Verbiage

“Wild raspberry and red currant aromas leap from the glass, dancing with fresh-snipped thyme and garden herbs in a spring breeze. The palate channels pure joy through crunchy red fruit, electric acidity racing across the tongue while subtle earthy notes ground the finish. This is the new benchmark for Valpolicella, capturing everything great about this region: freshness, soul, and pure deliciousness.” — Jeff Porter

Massimago “Il Sarto” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2021 Wine Enthusiast 01/07/2025 93
Verbiage

“Each swirl unleashes a mesmerizing whiff of smoke-kissed cherries, crushed cardamom, and charred sage that keeps pulling you back for one more deep breath. What starts as a broad, generous mouthful transforms into a focused journey, as fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity guide dark currants and cola-tinged plum skin toward a savory finish, try with bulgogi.” — Jeff Porter

Massimago “Conte Gastone” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG BIO 2020 Wine Enthusiast 01/07/2025 93
Verbiage

“Here’s an Amarone that doesn’t feel the need to shout. Instead of hitting you over the head with power, it’s more like walking into a room where someone’s been steeping bing cherries, letting a bit of cocoa dust float around, and turning over fresh garden soil. When you take a sip, it plays a neat trick – the fruit’s brighter and tangier than you’d expect, mingling with freshly crushed allspice and star anise. The tannins are there, but they’re polished – more velvet rope than brick wall. It’s Amarone showing its elegant side, and it’s pretty compelling. Drink Now -2035” — Jeff Porter
