Bucci Bucci Classico” Verdicchio Classico dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore 2014 Vinous 01/07/2015 90
Verbiage

“Gold-tinged straw. Aromas of apple, anise, minerals an almond jump from the glass. Bright, dense and juicy, offering an archetypal Verdicchio set of flavors (marzipan and orchard fruits) of sneaky concentration and creaminess. The finish is long and suave.” -Ian D’Agata, Vinous Jul 2015

“The best non-riserva Verdicchio from Bucci in memory. Almost Mosel Riseling-like in its freshness, with crisp green apple, white peach and almond notes. The Riserva can age 10+ years.” – Decanter, Jul. 2015

“Violet and black currant aromas and flavors are at the center of this red, tinged by licorice, spice and mineral notes. Lean, intense and persistent on the long, cherry- and spice-accented finish. Fine grip and freshness gives this longevity. Best from 2018 through 2035. 950 cases made.” -B.S., Wine Spectator, Sep 30, 2015

“Luminous straw color in the glass, territorial on the nose with potent tones of Sage, Corbezzolo, mint, lavender, mandarin, thyme and salt. The palate is soft, round with great volume and perfect acidity. The finish is coerent and mineral. Aged in stainless steel. Suggested with Tortelli filled with swordfish with a light sage pesto.” – BIbenda, Jun. 2015

“Notes of sweet vanilla and chocolate from new oak dominate, with the flavors of cherry, leather and licorice burled for now. Nonetheless, this red shows elegance and style. Sweet fruit lingers among the tannins. Best from 2018 through 2032.” —B.S., Wine Spectator, Jun. 2015

“Floral, strawberry and cherry flavors are shaded by tobacco and spice hints in this elegant, intense and complex red. The supple texture offsets the firm tannins on the long finish. Shows fine potential. Best from 2018 through 2030.” —B.S., Wine Spectator, Jun. 2015

Il Feuduccio Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC 2014 Vinous 01/06/2015 90
Verbiage

“Amber-tinged rosé. Fresh aromas of red berries, orchard fruits and herbs. Clean, fresh red berry flavors show a distinctly saline nuance. Finishes tactile and long. I know this is bottled in clear glass so the wine’s pink color is obvious for all to see, but I couldn’t find the word rosato anywhere on the bottle. I might be wrong, but it seems to me that labeling this wine as Carignano del Sulcis only (normally a red wine) is likely to confuse people.” – Ian D’Agata, Vinous, June 2015
