This plays with the palate, vividly sweet yet packed with zesty acidity and mineral tones that create a wildly contrasting style. It finishes with a tropical flair, mixing tart citrus with sour melon, and lingers on for what seems to be almost a minute. The nose on this wine is rich and perfumed, with new leather, pencil shavings, rose petals and pansies. The final sour plum notes reappear on the palate, with cherry syrup and the antiseptic buzz of spearmint and herbs. Tannins and acid make themselves known without being intrusive.

This is loaded with savory sanguine, iron and leather flavors, revealing a beam of cherry and raspberry fruit. On the crisp side, with a hint of cherry pit bitterness. Shows fine length. Drink now through 2027. 250 cases made, 50 cases imported.
