Floral aromas of rose and violet waft out of the glass along with whiffs of dark spice and menthol. Linear and elegant, the taut, medium-bodied palate offers red cherry, crushed raspberry and star anise alongside bright acidity. Tightly wound, fine-grained tannins leave a somewhat drying finish. Drink 2025–2030.

Aromas of eucalyptus oil and rose mingle with forest floor and red berry. It’s linear and polished, showing cherry soaked in spirits, raspberry compote and licorice alongside taut, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2023–2028.

Darker fruit on the nose with walnut, spice box, incense and espresso bean, too. Medium-bodied, firm and structured with polished tannins and a creamy, compact mid-palate. Quality dark oak spice throughout. Long and rich. Better from 2024.

Burnt brown sugar, raisins, black honey and Arabic dates. This is lusciously sweet, with an unctuous, thick and waxy texture. Nicely balanced, with bright acidity and concentrated flavors of sweet dates, brown sugar and papaya. Drink or hold.

Intense nose of wild blueberries, dried cherries, mint, roasted espresso and toffee. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a firm tannin frame. Structured and polished. Dense, toasty and compact for now. Try from 2024
