| Franz Haas | Sofi Muller Thurgau Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT | 2022 | James Suckling | 08/08/2023 | 90 | ||||||
VerbiagePretty aromas of lemon verbena and stony minerals follow through to a medium-bodied palate where the lemony element provides fresh and crisp flavor and the minerals add some structure. Super clean. Drink now. Screw cap. |

| Castello di Querceto | Cignale Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT | 2019 | James Suckling | 08/08/2023 | 94 | ||||||
VerbiageChili chocolate to the ripe berries, red cherries, plums and fine olives. This is juicy and refined on the palate with tightly knit tannins and a complex and lengthy finish. A lot to like here now. Cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Already very approachable, but will keep well in the next six to seven years. |

VerbiageGilled orange, tar and berry aromas follow through to a medium body, with firm tannins and an attractive length. Firm and silky textured. Drink now. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva “Sotto Casa” DOCG | 2019 | James Suckling | 07/08/2023 | 95 | ||||||
VerbiageThis has a rather glossy, deep ruby hue and the orange tinge is not even developed yet. Very youthful and a lot less savory than most of the Boscarelli offerings showing the usual mineral attraction, but this comes with a little more fruit, spices and even plushness. Deep cherry, plum, mussel and oyster shell characters on the nose follow through to a full-bodied palate drenched with firm, chalky tannins. The impressive structure ends in a neat, mineral finish. Almost a bit embryonic now despite its more eclectic and probably less traditional style. Wait two to three years before opening the bottle. Should keep very well in the next 10-15 years. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva “Costa Grande” DOCG | 2019 | James Suckling | 05/08/2023 | 95 | ||||||
VerbiageStony nose despite its richness. Lots of savory berries, citrus, tar, mineral, dark spices and some black tea. Almost full-bodied with a mouthful of chalky tannins crumbling on the palate, leaving a tight and comfortably austere finish. Drinkable now, but better from 2025. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG | 2019 | James Suckling | 05/08/2023 | 95 | ||||||
VerbiageA tight and chalky Vino Nobile Riserva here that shows a quiet yet incisive oyster-shell minerality to the savory, orangey fruit, laurel, nutmeg and berries. More depth and structure than the Vino Nobile bottling with crumbled mineral tannins that melt into a long yet understated finish. Grippy as an iron claw but nothing drying here. The impressive clarity and austerity makes you want to come back to it to finish a bottle. Drinkable now, but will keep very well in the next 10-12 years. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG | 2020 | James Suckling | 05/08/2023 | 93 | ||||||
VerbiageNuanced minerality chiselled to the ripe red berries, blood orange zest, savory plums and cherries. Medium to full body on the palate with a bone-dry, transparent middle and a tight, mineral coating of tannins. Fruity but pithy and precise, too. A joy to taste and drink already, but can hold well in the next five to eight years, if not more. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Rosso di Montepulciano “Prugnolo” DOC | 2022 | James Suckling | 05/08/2023 | 92 | ||||||
VerbiagePure, scented and transparent with lots of racy raspberries, strawberries, red cherries, herbs and potpourri. This is really fresh and tangy with fine, linear tannins carrying the juicy, nimble red fruit to a fresh, lifted finish. Really drinkable, fresh and expressive. Drink now. |

| Private: Boscarelli | Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Il Nocio DOCG | 2019 | James Suckling | 05/08/2023 | 96 | ||||||
VerbiageTarry berries, black mineral, dried orange rind and mussels on the nose. I like the chalky tannin structure and the pithiness here that makes you think of the build of a fine Serralunga d’Alba Barolo. Tight, bold and very austere, for sure, but so attractive and gastronomic at the same time. The tannins make you feel hungry. Give it time to unwind. Better from 2026. |

| Il Feuduccio | Montepulciano D’Abruzzo Feuduccio DOC | 2019 | James Suckling | 04/08/2023 | 92 | ||||||
VerbiageThis has aromas of toasted walnuts, black plums and spice box. Full-bodied, with firm and nicely integrated tannins. Creamy and long finish. Drink or hold. |
