Bright ruby-garnet, with earthy strawberries, dried flowers and cinnamon. It has pinot-like elegance, depth and complexity. A soulful palate with velvety tannins that are a bit chalky on the finish, crisp, long, integrated acidity and an amazing finish. Medium- to full-bodied with cherry pit flavors. More elegant than powerful. Drink or hold.

Beautiful nose of dried cherries and raspberries, with hints of sandalwood, sweet spices and crushed stones. It’s intense and persistent on the palate, with a medium to full body and a lot of depth and structure. Yet the tannins are very fine and well integrated into the wine, with a seamless, velvety texture. It grows on the finish, with both generous fruit and ashy minerality. There’s something mysterious about this. Better after 2026.

Ruby garnet in the glass, with cherry jelly, ripe fruit character and intense notes of graphite and smoke. The attack is soft and velvety, with ripe tannins, crisp acidity and a medium body. It has a solid spine of structure with enough fruit concentration for aging, but good to drink now.

Bright and fresh with a lovely energy. Aromas of orange peel, chocolate, cherries and cedar follow through to a medium body, firm tannins and crisp acidity with a crunchy finish. Will age nicely but already delicious.

Pretty fruit and freshness to this, with a medium body, fine tannins and dark cherry, blood orange and cedar undertones. This is closed now, but shows focus and brightness. Linear tannins run through the center. Drink after 2026.

A contemporary expression, using oak to compress stone fruit and tropical fruit accents nicely. A deep yellow hue, and it’s forward in the glass. One could argue that the salubrious oak is the essence of the wine, making it accessible to the New World chardonnay drinker as much as to the local seeking something different. It is well done and will drink well over the next five years or so. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
