Poderi Einaudi Barolo “Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi” DOCG 2014 Wine Advocate 31/08/2018 91
Verbiage

“This is a slightly more robust, softer and more fleshed out expression of Nebbiolo when compared to the other wines in this batch of new releases from Poderi Luigi Einaudi. The 2014 Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi sports broad shoulders and soft texture with dark cherry, licorice, cola and minor accents of rusty nail or wet earth. This wine ages in large oak casks for 30 months and any oak spice or smoke is very subtle and downplayed.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug. 31, 2018

Poderi Einaudi Barolo “Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi” DOCG 2013 Wine Advocate 31/08/2018 93
Verbiage

“The 2013 Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi is very faithful to the Poderi Luigi Einaudi house style that prizes elegance and tradition. This beautifully balanced Barolo opens to a light garnet appearance with dark ruby highlights. The wine is lean and polished in terms of its initial approach, but it does fan out over the palate in silky waves. The bouquet here is classic Nebbiolo with blue flowers, wild berries, light spice and smoke.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug. 31, 2018

Poderi Einaudi Dogliani DOCG 2015 Wine Advocate 31/08/2018 90
Verbiage

“It’s impossible not to love this fruity, soft and succulent wine. The 2015 Dogliani is an exuberant and lively Dolcetto that opens to a dark and inky appearance. Black currant, dried blueberry, sweet chocolate and tobacco all play supporting roles. This easy-drinking grape just loves a warm vintage (like 2015).” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug. 31, 2018

Poderi Einaudi Dogliani Superiore Vigna Tecc DOCG 2015 Wine Advocate 31/08/2018 90
Verbiage

“The 2015 Dogliani Superiore Vigna Tecc is true to the variety in terms of its darkness and its succulent intensity. On the other hand, it offers a level of elegance and austerity that you would not immediately associate with this native grape of Piedmont. There are dark layers of crème de cassis, crushed mineral, black olive and cured tobacco. This is an inspirational interpretation of a grape that is normally related to a no-fuss, easy-drinking corner of wine styles. But you get more than that here.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug. 31, 2018

Poderi Einaudi Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2016 Wine Spectator 31/08/2018 90
Verbiage

“Forthcoming and rich, sporting cherry, earth and light underbrush flavors. Firm tannins and lively acidity lend a guiding hand as this unfolds on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2024. 1,600 cases made.” –BS, Wine Spectator, Aug. 31, 2018

Poderi Einaudi Rosso delle Langhe Luigi Einaudi 2013 Wine Advocate 31/08/2018 93
Verbiage

“The 2013 Langhe Luigi Einaudi is an intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Merlot and Barbera. Grapes come from the Einaudi estates in Barolo and in Dogliani. There is a lot of meat on these bones. This is a hearty and darkly saturated red blend that offers an elegant bouquet followed by firm tannins and lavish textural richness. The bouquet is specifically focused on blackberry and savory spice. There is depth, structure and complexity here.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug. 31, 2018

Verbiage

“Enticing flavors of sweet cherry and strawberry are accented by leather, licorice and tar details in this solidly built yet supple red. Notes of wild herb, menthol, mineral and underbrush add interest as this plays out on the finish. Best from 2022” – BS, WIne Spectator, Oct. 15, 2018

Private: Do ut Des IGT 2016 James Suckling 10/07/2018 95
Verbiage

The fruit here really takes your breath away with its intensity, as well as purity. Blackberry crumble, pressed violets, ink, iodine, charcoal, vanilla and resin. It’s the polish of the tannins that really makes this wine, carrying itself effortlessly over a shimmer of electric acidity to the long finish. Drink in 2023. Made from organically grown grapes.
