2025 Lombardy

Laura Gatti of Ferghettina

The season was fairly regular, with a good balance between sunny weather and rain. The cool temperatures in July allowed for perfect ripening and the preservation of excellent acidity, which is very important for wines destined for Franciacorta. The harvest began on August 11, slightly earlier than usual.

2025 Sardinia

Renato Spanu of Jankara

Harvest went exceptionally well; we produced the quantity we had hoped for, and the quality is beyond excellent! Everything happened at least three weeks earlier than usual due to a very hot and dry year that began in the winter months. All in all, we are very satisfied — vintages like this are most welcome!

Friuli-Venezia Giulia

2025 Friuli Venezia Giulia

Angela Bortoluzzi of Bortoluzzi

The 2025 vintage in Friuli Venezia Giulia is shaping up to be excellent, with healthy, well-ripened grapes thanks to favorable weather conditions—promising high-quality wines across nearly all areas.

The season was irregular: a hot, dry June was followed by an unusually cool, rainy July, especially in the lowlands. In August, temperatures rose again with regular rainfall that supported ripening.

These conditions—regular rain and a cool July—favored strong day-night temperature shifts, enhancing aroma development in varieties such as Sauvignon, Friulano, and Malvasia.

Harvest began about a week earlier than average, with Pinot Grigio picked at the end of August, followed by other whites. After a short pause, red grapes were harvested around September 20, having reached full maturity thanks to the warm September days.

A nation uniting great wine and great food.

Fine people and fine places.
