2025 Veneto

Laura Cigana of Massimago

The grapes for this year’s harvest show excellent phenolic ripeness, with a good balance between the sugars and acidity, promising wines of great depth that are true to their terroir. The main varieties, especially Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, are healthy. The goal of the reduced yield is to maintain the positioning and competitiveness of Valpolicella wines in the global market. Despite some rainfall in the final phase, the climatic conditions favored the concentration of anthocyanins and tannins, essential for producing great red wines with long aging potential.

Lorenzo Ficini of Arillo in Terrabianca

The 2025 harvest is proving to be very promising. The grapes collected in Massa Marittima are showing a complex aromatic profile and balanced ripening, thanks to a warm yet well-ventilated summer. We haven’t started in Radda, as we are waiting for cooler nights that will encourage the development of aromas and the maturation of the skins — essential elements for producing elegant and long-lasting wines

Stefania Bussotti of Cignale

The 2025 harvest has just finished, and the grapes have produced results in line with expectations. We’re seeing grapes of the highest quality—healthy and perfectly ripe. Quantities are certainly lower compared to the previous year, and yields are limited given the characteristics of the berries, which are not particularly large this year. We hope and feel that this will be one the best in recent years.

2024 Tuscany

Gioia Cresti of Carpineta Fontalpino

The 2024 harvest was truly very tiring, but fortunately full of satisfaction!

The season was rainy and mild until mid-June. After, it was hot and scorching until we saw heavy rains in the middle of August, which allowed for excellent ripening. The health of the grapes was amazing, as was the quantity, which we have not seen in years. We began harvesting in mid-September and finished last week, a very long one as we had to pause and wait a few times, but by carefully calibrating knowledge and technique, we achieved incredible results.

Franco Bernabei of Monte Antico and Supremus

Spring crept in early with above average temps, causing early budding.  Development continued steadily until May. Mid-month saw lower temperatures than usual, which led to different flowering periods across the vineyards but also rebalanced phenological growth. Temperatures rose in late June and stayed intense until mid-August, with very few day/night temperature swings. There were a few summer storms that allowed the vines to stay out of danger in terms of drought. Veraison began in early August. September then cooled drastically as we harvested.

We are expecting excellent quality, a beautiful sensory and aromatic profile, with a lower alcohol than we’ve seen in recent years.

Daniele Zeffirini of Fuligni

The 2024 harvest was a very particular and prolonged harvest, I’d say an “old style” harvest. Summer was hot and ripening was slower than expected. The grapes were mostly harvested between the first and second week of October, also due to the bad weather and low temperatures. Despite the rain and bad weather we’ve seen over the last few weeks, the grapes were extremely healthy, with compact skins and absolutely no mold problems. I would say perfect grapes.

The 2024 vintage promises to be a good vintage with excellent color, low alcohol content, splendid acidity and good structures. The musts are already very fragrant, so all in all I would say harvest went well.

Lorenzo Ficini of Arillo in Terrabianca

The 2024 season started off well with some intense heat that did not cause any stress to the plants. August and September saw some intense and unusual rainfall for the season. In spite of this and thanks to good vineyard management, the grapes reached peak maturity. This harvest reminds us of past harvests, before all the high alcohol and boldness. It’s going to be a very interesting vintage.
