Fantini Cerasuolo D’Abruzzo DOC

Made from 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes from vineyards within the township of Ortona. Harvest takes place in early October; after gentle de-stalking and pressing, maceration on skins lasts about 6 hours to achieve the lovely rose hue, followed by racking and fermentation without skins for 15 days at 12° C (53.6° F). The result is a lively, light cherry color a a fruit, intense and persistent nose, with notes of strawberry confirmed on a medium-bodied palate with excellent intensity, balance and length. Best enjoyed in young, served at  14-16° C (57.2-60.8° F) with both
first and meat courses, cheese, white meat, fish soup
and roasted fish.

Located within the township of Ortona, covering a total of 3 hectares (7.4 acres).

Harvest is in early October; after gentle de-stalking and pressing, maceration on skins lasts about 6 hours to achieve a lovely pink rose hue, followed by racking and fermentation without skins for 15 days at 12° C (53.6° F).
TASTING NOTES
The result is a lively, light cherry color (“cerasuolo” means cherry); the nose is fruity, intense and persistent, with notes of strawberry, which are confirmed on a medium-bodied palate with excellent intensity, balance and length.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Easy to drink, pairs well with first courses as well as meat courses, cheese and white meat as well as roasted fish and soups.
