VINEYARD CHARACTARISTICS
Clayey-calcareous soil; 10-30-year-old vines at a density of 6,000/hectare; training is the spur-pruned cordon, yield 75 quintals/hectare.
VINIFICATION AND AGING
Temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration for 12-15 days, with daily pumpovers; aged in oak barrels for 6 months.
TASTING NOTES
Brilliant ruby color, elegant bouquet of violets, berry fruit and iris confirmed on a soft, round, well balanced palate showing good body, fruity flavors and intensity.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Best served at 16-18 C (60.8-64.4 F). An all-around food wine to match first courses, red and white meat, cheese.
